The Park - Water Features

The Park's 11 hectares include seven, one-of-a-kind water features, designed by California-based WET, the creators of The Dubai Fountain and the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas.  The Dubai Fountain, the world's tallest performing fountains, sits at the base of Burj Khalifa.

At the residential drop off for Tower Park the radial paving pattern rings emanating from the tower extend into the landscaped burm of the traffic circle. These rings and the patterning of the traffic circle delineate four curved sloping plinths. The vertical walls of the plinth are clad in finely aggregated water texture while the tops are covered with grass, giving it a completely different appearance when viewed from above.

At the Hotel drop off for Tower Park the radial paving pattern rings emanating from the tower extend into the landscaped burm of the traffic circle. These rings and the ring patterning within the landscape itself delineate three curved sloping plinths, rising from the landscape. The vertical walls of the plinth are clad in finely textured coating of water and the tops are planted with grass.

The reflective pools of Tower Park begin at plaza level. As the landscape slopes down toward the lakeshore the pools create a series of reflective terraces. The mirrored surfaces of horizontal water reflect the surroundings and a delicately textured water display runs over the vertical surface of the pools and along the as the zigzagging pathway. The water walls are lit at night to create an experiential walk for day or night.

The Children's pool area for Tower Park is comprised of two water areas that offer different degrees of physical interaction with the water. The first area contains a triangular layout of tiny jets, emitting small spheres of water. Adjacent to the jet feature is a shallow sloping pool. At one end of the pool a small wave emits, surging across a brightly blue and green striated surface to the opposing basin wall.

For the main entry of Tower Park the landscape pattern has been extended into the center ring of the traffic circle, enclosing a triangular sloping plinth that pulls away from the delicate water skin comprising the rest of the inner ring. The plinth contains a dense triangular grid of glassy continuously flowing jets. Water coats the plinth and into a recovery trough leaving the water skin undisturbed.
