Date: March 8, 2004
Dubai, March 8, 2004: EMAAR Properties today announced it will showcase Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest tower, and its other master-planned developments at the MIPIM exhibition which will take place in Cannes, France early next month.
A high level delegation of senior officials from the region’s largest real estate development company will attend the renowned international property exhibition for the first time. The exhibition --now in its 15th year—runs from March 9 to 12 at Palais des Festivals and attracts leading real estate sector players from Europe, North America and Asia.
Commenting on EMAAR’s debut participation in Cannes, Mohamed Ali Alabbar, Chairman, EMAAR Properties, said: “With almost five thousand participants from 62 countries, MIPIM enjoys an international reputation for being the real estate event of the year. It has become THE international summit for real estate decision makers, where industry movers come together to set the tone for the state of the international real estate market.
“As the Middle East region’s premier property development company, it is essential for EMAAR be present at this exhibition and we are looking forward to showcasing the splendid Burj Dubai Development and other fine lifestyle communities we have developed to a prestigious, international audience.”
The centrepiece of EMAAR’s feature projects to be showcased is The Burj Dubai which, when completed in 2006, will be the world’s tallest tower. The masterpiece is set to raise stakes in the global race to scrape the sky with an architectural wonder that will dwarf all existing structures. Currently the world’s highest man made towers include the two Petronas Towers in Malaysia (452 meters) and the Chicago’s Sears Tower (442 meters). China now has plans to build the Shanghai World Financial Center to stand some 492 meters and due to be completed by 2007.
“We have revolutionised a whole new concept of urban engineering to the construction sector in the middle east, made lifestyle habitats the buzz word in top class community development, and provided an unprecedented architectural benchmark for global property developers. We are certain Burj Dubai and our other fine properties will be received favourably by visitors to this important exhibition,” Mr. Alabbar continued.
EMAAR is also presenting its various other lifestyle options at the MIPIM, including Dubai Marina, Dubai Marina Villas, Arabian Ranches, Gazelle, Emirates Hills, The Views, The Meadows, The Springs, The Lakes, Hattan Homes, The Greens, EMAAR Towers and The Residences at Burj Dubai.
The Dubai Marina illustrates similar ethos and lifestyle to what the French Riviera provides. Visitors to the EMAAR stand will be welcomed by inspiring images of the sun-drenched Arabian coast and the unique waterfront lifestyle, which is on offer at the Marina. The internationally acclaimed project comprises residential towers and luxurious villas that have been created around a 3.5km water channel. It is the region’s first ‘intelligent city’ that will eventually house 40,000 people in stunning surroundings that will boast international restaurants, coffee shops and boutique-style retail shops.
“This exhibition provides us with a good opportunity to expose the market in Cannes, and Europe in general, to EMAAR’s comprehensive product range and services and our top delegation will be interacting with decision makers and investors,” Mr. Alabbar concluded.
